This year the Association for Art History Careers Day will take place in collaboration with The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities (TORCH).
This one-day event offers useful introductions and insights into the range of careers that are open to students who have studied or enjoyed art history and visual culture.
The Careers Day brings together a wide range of speakers from different fields within the arts and culture sector, who share professional expertise and experience in areas such as curating, conservation, arts journalism, marketing, education and freelancing. It’s also an opportunity for students to make contacts and gain advice on how to access or further their career objectives.
This event is designed for recent graduates, undergraduates, sixth-form students, as well as those who are interested in pursuing a career in the increasingly competitive arts and heritage sector.
During the breaks between sessions attendees have the chance to talk informally with the speakers, and to discuss more specific careers advice.
