Feeling stressed, lacking in focus, achey and inflexible, and/or out of touch with your body?
This two-hour session aimed at early-career academics will give you the chance to get moving and free up your body, and will then introduce you to the essentials of good posture and alignment. This will be followed by a more structured movement class combining pilates and yoga, before finishing with yoga nidra (guided conscious deep relaxation).
The class will be led by Stephanie Ross-Russell, who was a professional dancer before training in pilates, remedial exercise, sports massage, and yoga. For over ten years she has run her own yoga studios in Oxford and abroad.
All equipment is provided; just come wearing unrestrictive clothing. (The room is at the top of the stairs on the left of the Playhouse foyer as you come in from Beaumont Street.)
