This hands-on workshop is led by Dr Barbara J. Gabrys (Zen teacher and Academic Visitor in the Department of Materials), and presents a new method for managing your time and managing yourself. The session provides a structured approach to timely delivery on projects and writing while taking into account the broader perspective of different roles (research, teaching, community, family etc.) and goals, making sure your personal aims are linked to their wider contexts. Proceeding from the assumption that stress cannot be completely avoided, the session analyses how to work with stress, and how to achieve and maintain peak physical and mental condition.
