Imaobong Umoren is the joint Pembroke-TORCH Career Development Fellow in Women in the Humanities. She is a graduate of King’s College London and the University of Oxford. She is a former Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University.
She is interested in the history of women, gender, and race across the nineteenth and twentieth century global African diaspora. She is currently writing her first book about the world travels of a group of Caribbean and African American women intellectuals in the twentieth century. She has previously taught at the University of Oxford and Royal Holloway, University of London and is a member of the Race and Resistance Network at TORCH.
