Introduction to Research Ethics at Oxford

The goals of the session are to understand:

- Why Oxford has an ethics review system for research projects involving human participants and personal data
- What research is reviewed by the Interdivisional Research Ethics Committee for the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH IDREC)
- Common ethical issues which arise in relation to University policy (including typical case studies)
- How to prepare an application for ethical approval
