Josephine Quinn is an Associate Professor in Ancient History in the Faculty of Classics and a Fellow of Worcester College, Oxford.
Her current research focusses mainly on the Phoenician world, and she is also working on a book manuscript on the cultural history of North Africa. Gender studies is a particular focus of her research. Josephine co-directs the Tunisian-British excavations at Utica (Tunisia), and she is a member of the Board of Professors for the PhD in Roman Archaeology at the University of Siena.
She is also Associate Head of the Humanities Division and a member of the Steering Committee for the Women in the Humanities programme.
