Oxford Playhouse Spotlight Discussions

Oxford Playhouse is looking for speakers to lead theatre and research based discussions for Spotlight

Spotlight sessions are informal discussions led by an academic for members of the public aged 50yrs+ with an interest in theatre and the arts.   Speakers are asked to talk for 15-20minutes about the show and/or related issues, previous guests have included Emma Smith: social and political events in Elizabethan and Jacobean times for As You Like It, Alice Kelly: adapting Dickens for performance for A Tale of Two Cities.  The introduction can be about sharing information or introducing a topic/question(s) for discussion.  Spotlight members enjoy these lively and informative debates.

Session are 12.30-2pm in the Top Room at Oxford Playhouse.  In return for leading the discussion OP will provide two free tickets to watch the show, date and time of your choice subject to availability, a sandwich and refreshments.

Researchers will be given two free tickets to watch the related show, subject to availability on the date and time of their choice. Sandwiches and tea/coffee during the Spotlight session will also be provided.
