Oxford Unites as an Anti-Racist City

Sunday, October 21, 2018 -
4:30pm to 6:30pm
East Oxford Community Centre

Join us for a political education workshop during Black History Month to Unite Oxford as an Anti Racist City. We are platforming the voices and realities of marginalised people and communities, campaigners, refugee and migrants rights advocates, academics, trade unionists and Oxford residents to build a broad intersectional anti racism movement in our city.

Opposition to racism is a key to creating a united, pluralistic and more equal and thriving city and country.

Anti racism work is essential to upholding human rights and valuing the lives and dignity of people of colour, marginalised people and communities, and all humanbeings.

Anti racism is at the heart of social justice and creating an Oxford for the many.

Oxford Unites as an Anti- Racist City calls on all trade unions, anti-racist organisations, football fans, community groups, faith groups and everyone on the left, to step up our campaigning and find ways to work together, to keep our city safe and welcoming for all.

Join us for an afternoon of discussion and workshops with the aim of developing a collective anti-racist plan for Oxford.
