Mindfulness meditation is a well-researched and effective means of alleviating stress, anxiety, and depression, and promoting well-being and performance. This experiential introductory workshop offers an understanding of the basic cognitive frameworks and background behind mindfulness and its current applications, with plenty of time for mindfulness practice, discussion, and questions. No prior experience is needed and all are welcome.
Dr Kitty Wheater is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, and an Associate at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, where she teaches mindfulness to students and the general public.
