A one-day symposium on the cultural, political and infrastructural situation in Puerto Rico after Hurricane María struck the island in September 2017. Invited speakers: writer, photographer and filmmaker Eduardo Lalo (winner of the Rómulo Gallegos International Novel Prize in 2013), Antonio Carmona Báez (Public Policy, University of St. Maarten), and Melissa Fernández Arrigoitía (Department of Sociology, Lancaster University).
