Ana-Lucia Araujo (Howard University) historian will be at Oxford discussing her recently published book titled: Reparations for Slavery and the Slave Trade: A Transnational and Comparative History. It is a timely discussion.

Her research centers on the history and memory of the Atlantic slave trade, public memory, and the visual culture of slavery. Her new book is the first to present a transnational narrative history of the demands of financial, material, and symbolic reparations for slavery and the Atlantic slave trade.
