The Spouting Club

Sunday, October 14, 2018 -
7:30pm to 9:30pm
Oxford Town Hall, St Aldate’s, Oxford, OX1 1BX

Ever heard of a Spouting Club? Spouting was a kind of eighteenth-century karaoke, with Shakespeare instead of songs. People met in pubs to read or recite parts of their favourite plays. Join us for an evening of beer, banter and the Bard as we explore how eighteenth-century pub-goers experienced Spouting.

IF Oxford is operating a Pay What You Decide (PWYD) ticketing system. This works by enabling you to pre-book events without paying for a ticket beforehand. Aferwards, you have the opportunity to pay what you decide you want to, or can afford. If you prefer, you can make a donation when you book.

There may be tickets available on the door – spaces may be reallocated if ticket holders are late.
