Heritage Pathway: Creative Writing Workshop – Historical Fiction and Film

bookstack

Bringing together prize-winning historical fiction author, Imogen Hermes Gower, and academic and historical film consultant, Dr Hannah Greig, this extended workshop will explore how history is conveyed through fiction and screen.

In the first part of the session, the speakers will discuss their career paths and their experience of communicating history to non-specialist audiences.

The second part of the session will take the form of a practical workshop, in which participants will get to try their hand at creative writing under expert guidance. A sandwich lunch will be provided in this session.

This training is convened in partnership with the Creative Industries Pathway.

We will be invited to join the second in-person session once you have booked onto the first in-person session. You can also join the first session online.
