From ritual to performance: playing (with) gender

cpaghlogo

This event is part of the TORCH Colonial Ports and Global History (CPAGH) Network.

On Saturday 7 March 2020, from 1 to 4pm, CPAGH will host an object handling activity at the Pitt Rivers Museum. Toys, masks and dolls: what can these objects tell us about gender as ritual and performance around the world, and how they change over time? Go beyond the binary and 'play' with a selection of objects from various oceans and continents, and chat with CPAGH researchers. This event is free and open to all.
