Heritage Pathway: Current Issues in Arts and Heritage

This session will provide an overview of the UK from the perspective of the UK Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), explaining the way in which the sector is structured and what its current concerns are.

Following the DCMS presentation Dr Oliver Cox and Alice Purkiss (co-convenors of Heritage Pathway) will outline the range of opportunities available in Oxford for collaborating with the UK and international heritage sector.

Heritage Pathway is a series of training and engagement activities which run termly. Since 2015, Heritage Pathway has provided undergraduate and postgraduate students, along with Early Career Researchers at the University of Oxford with the skills, knowledge and confidence to engage effectively with a wide range of partners in the heritage, museums and cultural sector.
