Christina works on the social and cultural history of 19thC Britain and France, with a particular interest in the history of women, gender history, the history of education and experiences of social mobility. In her current work on social mobility and education, she is working with medical anthropologists to consider the ways in which women's educational mobility might impact our understanding of wellbeing. She is interested in thinking about the ways in which feminist narratives might inform ideas of social justice and well being in thinking about the past and the future, as well as in nineteenth-century utopian thought.
