Chris is a philosopher of cognitive science. His research explores how digital technologies have reshaped our understanding of wellbeing and the new opportunities and risks that these technologies pose for human flourishing. He has held previous posts at the University of Bristol, where he explored the ethical and epistemological impact of big data and artificial intelligence and completed his PhD in 2017. His research interests include Philosophy of Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence, Ethics of Digital Technology and A.I., Decision Theory, and Philosophy of Mind.
