Newly launched in May 2013, TORCH is very much at a formative stage, and so we welcome ideas for projects and approaches that will provide opportunities for humanities researchers to work in new ways with each other, and with those in other disciplines and with wider publics. To discuss ways in which TORCH can support new and existing research projects, please contact the TORCH director Elleke Boehmer. TORCH relies on philanthropy to achieve its ambitious goals: be part of its success by giving support.
Existing projects based at TORCH are keen to grow, and project leaders welcome involvement from colleagues at Oxford and beyond who have shared interests. Elsewhere on the TORCH website, there are summaries of current research projects and information on who to contact.
TORCH provides many opportunities for early career scholars across Oxford to work together, including a weekly lunch, writers' workshops, first book launches and training events (in addition to providing opportunities to be involved in the work and leadership of TORCH's general programmes). For more details, please follow the links on the sidebar. Early career scholars who would like to be based at TORCH should contact Victoria McGuinness (email@example.com).
