The fourteen participants in the Global Humanities Institute "Theoretical Issues, Practical Densities: Violence, Memory, and the Untranslatable" have been selected among early-career scholars at the convening centers (CIEFHA, University of Chile; UCI Commons, University of California Irvine; Centre for Humanities Research, University of the Western Cape ; Oxford Comparative Criticism and Translation at The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities, Oxford University) and from a pool of applicants affiliated with CHCI member organizations.
