Today we launch an exciting new podcast series: War and Representation.
In these first six podcasts, leading international scholars discuss topics such as the relationship between war, aesthetics and politics; philosophy and nuclear war; the phenomenon of ‘amok’; the messiness of history; human agency in warfare; and the place of emotion in research. They are Elaine Scarry (Harvard University), Vivienne Jabri (King’s College London), Patrick Deer (New York University), Santanu Das (University of Oxford), Joseph Vogl (Humboldt University) and Christopher Coker (LSE).
The series is a joint venture between the scholars at the University of Southern Denmark, the University of Oxford, the University of St. Andrews and Liverpool Hope University, funded by the Carlsberg Foundation. The podcasts are hosted on the University of Oxford’s iTunes channel.
Look out for future additions to the series!
