This is an update on the funding available to support the Oxford-Berlin Research Partnership. In addition to the workshop funding available until the end of 2018, there is now a formal call for more substantial funding to enable the development of joint grant applications. Each proposal must have partners from both Oxford and one of the participating institutions in Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and the Charité – Universitätsmedizin).

Subject-specific workshops

Colleagues with an interest in taking forward a subject-specific workshop with Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin are encouraged to contact Alasdair MacDonald who will offer advice and have access to funding (the partnership has a €200,000 budget for such workshops) for projects until the end of 2018.

Seed Grants

Funding of between €10,000 and €30,000 is now available to enable the development of joint research grant applications to be made to EU framework programmes or to other British, German, European and international funding agencies. A second call will be made in spring 2019. A total of €600,000 will be available for such projects. Further details are available here.  Please contact Alasdair MacDonald if you have any questions about this scheme.

Deadline: The deadline for the call will be 31 October 2018 and a second call will be made in Spring 2019.
