The Oxford Centre for Gender, Identity and Subjectivity

The Oxford Centre for Gender, Identity and Subjectivity has been established by the History Faculty to enhance and sustain the significant amount of research that is already being undertaken by staff and graduate students across the University on gender, class identity and the broad area of the emotions, psychology and subjectivity.

We are seeking to establish an interdisciplinary network of researchers interested in these themes by promoting an intellectually compelling programme of events from which to build research applications, facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, and stimulate graduate research in these areas. One outcome of CGIS is to create a central forum through which graduate students interested in these themes can meet and interact on a regular basis, through workshops, conferences, reading groups and seminars.

For further information about CGIS and to join the Centre network, please visit our website or contact the Centre Co-ordinator, Naomi Pullin - naomi.pullin@history.ox.ac.uk
