TORCH is very pleased to welcome six new members to the TORCH Management Committee for the next academic year 2024-25.

About TORCH
Established more than a decade ago, TORCH continues to support humanities interdisciplinary research and research engagement across many areas. Our Research Hubs and Networks enable us to explore interdisciplinary questions and ideas together. International engagement has grown from strength to strength, supporting both institutional partnerships and individual researchers. Our support for public engagement with research is based on our ongoing collaborations with external partners both locally and nationally and has allowed us to engage creatively and impactfully with public and community audiences.
The TORCH Management Committee’s role is integral to TORCH’s strategy and priority areas, including decision-making on funding applications for both the TORCH Network and International Engagement schemes. The involvement and guidance of committee members helps shape the work of TORCH, putting researchers at its heart and bringing an important cross-faculty perspective to its mission.
