Week 1, Thursday 17 October 2024, 1pm - 2pm

Online - Register via Eventbrite.

Online registration closes 15 minutes before the start of the event. You will be sent the joining link within 48 hours of the event, on the day and once again 10 minutes before the event starts.

The Medieval Women’s Writing Research Group meets to discuss everything to do with women’s writing in the medieval period. We hold both a research seminar series as well as the more informal reading group in even weeks (see: Medieval Women’s Writing Reading Group).

We are delighted that Arnisha Ashraf (Jamia Millia Islamia, New Dehli, India) will give the paper Woman’s Body as ‘Commodity’: Matrimonial Alliances and Political Dynamics in Medieval Assam (c.1600-1800) for our first research seminar session.

Convenors:

Katherine Smith, Marlene Schilling, Carolin Gluchowski and Santhia Velasco Kittlaus
