Katy Haigh will be giving a 30 minute talk discussing the approaches to femininity and sexuality in contemporary Indian society, and the response and address in 20th century Bengali art to gender bias in Hindu tradition, as well as drawing attention towards decentering global 20th century modernism by exploring its complex relationship between west and east in the 20th century. The tour of the gallery will be taking place on Tuesday 26th May at 1pm.
