Dr Tracey Sowerby is hosting a conference on 'Centres of Diplomacy, Centres of Culture IV' in association with the British Academy Rising Star Engagment Awards' (BARSEA). Following on from two conferences in 2015-2016, this focussed workshop brings together early career scholars working on the Habsburg, French and Ottoman courts from a range of disciplinary angles to discuss how diplomacy at particular courts facilitated cultural exchanges regarding notions of politics, ritual and material and artistic culture.
