This three-day conference, hosted in association with TORCH, seeks to reassess Clara Schumann’s music and cultural milieu within the gender-aware and interdisciplinary climate of contemporary musicology.
It will include two keynote lectures by Dr Natasha Loges (Royal College of Music) and Professor Susan Youens (University of Notre Dame), two lecture-recitals, seventeen individual presentations, and a recital of Clara Schumann's songs and piano music, performed by Dr Aisling Kenny, Cecily Lock, and Cheryl Tan.
