Digging Crates

Part of the Oxford Science + Ideas Festival

Wednesday 20 October 2021, 7:00pm

Musicians from Oxford’s Inner Peace Records collective have created some original hip hop tracks inspired by the Pitt Rivers Museum’s collection of African instruments. Working alongside a team of musicians from Africa, inside the museum over an intensive four day period, the hip hop artists gathered sounds and melodies to create new music and lyrics. The process was recorded for a mini documentary (rating TBC). Watch the short film and meet some of the artists involved.

Tickets: £10 adults / £9 seniors / £8 student and claimants
