The Oxford Comparative Criticism and Translation programme are hosting an exciting evening 'East European Crossroads in English Translation: A Reading and Conversation with the Polish-Ukrainian Writer Żanna Słoniowska'. The Polish-Ukrainian author Żanna Słoniowska will discuss her award-winning novel The House with the Stained-Glass Window (MacLehose Press), a moving story of a family deeply affected by conflict in twentieth-century Lviv. Excerpts from the novel will be read in English by the renowned translator Antonia Lloyd-Jones, who brought this book to the Anglophone world. The event will be chaired by Ania Ready of Oxford University Press.
