Grade 7: £33,309 - £40,927 p.a.

We are looking for a new member of the team in the area of research engagement support in the Humanities at Oxford. This is an exciting new role requiring excellent project management and organisational skills, significant professional experience of events and operations management, specialist cultural programming skills, diplomatic people management skills, and strengths in building and maintaining relationships with academics and external cultural organisations. The post is full-time and fixed-term until 31 December 2024.

This Events Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day and longer term management of a portfolio of projects from the Humanities Cultural Programme and the Institute for Ethics in AI. The postholder will be responsible for leading on the planning and delivery of high-quality, year-round Humanities public engagement and events programme. The Event Manager is part of a small team, overseen by the Head of Cultural Programming and Partnerships and led by a senior coordinator, who are responsible for the management, development and delivery of the Humanities Cultural Programme (HCP) and delivery of support for public events from the Institute for Ethics in AI. The support of digital (live/online) events is also vital to this role. Working largely independently, you will need to relate well to staff at all levels.
