As part of the Global South Visiting Professorship programme, Dr Obari Gomba (GSVP 2021, Port Harcourt, Nigeria), will lead a panel discussion on contemporary
African culture featuring Dr Tinashe Mushakavanhu and Professor Elleke Boehmer, followed by a musical performance by Jali Fily Cissokho from Senegal, and lunch.

  • We ask that guests take a lateral flow test on the day of attending an event.
  • Guests are encouraged to wear face coverings to this event.
  • Please be aware that windows and doors are may be left open to provide the maximum amount of ventilation to the room

The lunch will consist of a range of vegetarian and other sandwiches, crisps, fruit, bottled non-alcoholic drinks. While we are unable to cater for specific dietary requirements, common allergens will be displayed alongside each item.
