In this webinar, a presentation will chart the trajectory of In Place of War (IPOW), from AHRC funded research project to global charitable organization. Today, IPOW supports local youth led arts-based peacebuilding and community development processes across three pillars: the development of cultural spaces, education and enterprise and artist collaboration in 26 countries.  In outlining  this development, Ruth and Teresa will provide an overview of IPOW core work in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East, discussing the organization’s guiding principles and methodology for engaging with communities to realise the ambitions of SDGs. The talk will conclude by drawing on current strategies and core field activities that respond to urgent issues as identified by communities in conflict.
