Join Oxford Queer Studies Network and St Hilda’s MCR for an evening with the inspiring Chinese feminist and LGBTQI+ activist Li Maizi. She gained international attention as one of China’s Feminist Five, who were arrested and detained in 2015 for anti-sexual harassment activity.
Li Maizi will share her experiences of activism in China with a particular focus on social media, performance and video campaigns. She will also share some of the issues she has faced as well as provide insight into how we might employ some of her methods in our own activism.
