queer studies

On her tour launching the Australian documentary film Nothing to Lose in the UK and Europe, director Kelli Jean Drinkwater will visit Oxford for an exclusive Queer Studies Network/Beyond the Binary project screening. Award winning dance theatre production, Nothing to Lose centred a cast of undeniably fat and queer performers on the main stage. This documentary charts the creation of the show from both a personal and political perspective as experienced by a truly remarkable cast.

Kelli Jean Drinkwater is a filmmaker, artist and activist recognized internationally for her creative practice and voice in radical body politics. Kelli Jean uses the body as a site to explore themes of identity, queer and feminist theory and society’s obsession with “perfection”.
