This forum is convened by Professor Stephen Tuck (Director of TORCH) on the subject of Race Relations in Oxford in the 1960s and the present day. The forum marks the 50th anniversary of Malcolm X's visit to Oxford, and a campaign by students to end the colour bar in student housing.
It is supported by the Pembroke College Mahfouz Forum Series, which was established to facilitate inter-disciplinary research and discussions. Events are convened by Pembroke academics and kindly funded by Foundation Fellow HE Mahfouz bin Mahfouz.
