Research, Innovation & the Business of Heritage

What is the place for research within the heritage sector? Where does heritage and business intersect? What does innovation look like in the Humanities? Is heritage just about history?

This talk will introduce the National Trust Partnership at the University of Oxford, a flagship collaboration with Europe’s largest conservation charity which connects researchers from a wide range of academic disciplines and career levels with National Trust projects, places and historic collections. Providing an insight into how the partnership was developed and a range of project case studies, this talk will demonstrate how research in the Humanities can offer heritage organisations a commercial advantage in a crowded marketplace.
