Talk & Screening: Still Walking

Part of the Japan Film Season – in-person at the Ultimate Picture Palace
Saturday 27th November 2021 6.30pm

 

 

 

Ahead of the screening of Still Walking on Saturday 27 November 2021, Professor Reidar Due, Fellow of European Cinema at Magdalen College, Oxford University, will be giving a short talk on Kore-eda's work with actors: Still Walking. The short talk will introduce Kore-eda's work in genre cinema and discuss his interest in architecture, body language and styles of acting as means of interpreting emotion.

 

This event is a collaboration between TORCH and the Ultimate Picture Palace as part of the Humanities Cultural Programme, Japan Season.

 

 

All screenings are part of Japan 2020: Over 100 years of Japanese Cinema, a UK-wide film season supported by National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network.
