SON ET LUMIÈRE – LIGHT PROJECTION AT THE RADCLIFFE HUMANITIES BUILDING.
Join us after dark for an extraordinary light and sound artwork projected onto the original 3-storey Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford.
‘Temenos’ is based on the human history and archaeology of the land under the old Radcliffe Infirmary, Observatory, and the future Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.
TORCH, the Cultural Programme and Humanities researchers have teamed up with the award-winning Creative artists Ross Ashton and Karen Monid from Projection Studio to Illuminate the building and bring the story to life.
‘Temenos’ has been created in collaboration with researchers from the Humanities at Oxford University, local cultural partners, and MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) and Oxford Archaeology. The original project idea was brought together by Dr Victoria McGuinness (Humanities Division), and in collaboration with Tasha Patel (Creative Industries Officer).
The short video will be on repeat throughout the evening.
