Frames of Resistance: Palestinian Shorts Screening

Films Screening:

  • Bonboné (2017)
  • Condom Lead (2013)
  • Like Twenty Impossible Minutes (2003)
  • The Crossing (2015)

In this discussion, we will be focusing on two aspects of the Palestinian experience under Israeli occupation through a comparative short film viewing. The first half of the discussion will focus on the body as a site of resistance, the politics of reproduction, and how settler colonialism impacts the intimate lives of Palestinians in Gaza and in the West bank. The second part of the discussion will focus on the daily reality of Palestinians that try to cross through Israeli checkpoints and the abuse and humiliation perpetuated by Israeli authorities.
