Thick & Tight is a queer dance theatre company co-directed by Daniel Hay-Gordon and El Perry. For this Dansox event, Daniel and El will be presenting an open rehearsal of a new solo called The Leopard, danced by Luigi Nardone. The Leopard is set to one of Ravel’s greatest orchestral works, La Valse; a magnificent and terrifying piece composed after World War One, which evokes a story through musical chapters of rotten grandeur and the annihilation of beauty. The Leopard is partly based on the book of the same name by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, a novel about the fall of the Sicilian royal family.
