Exploring the impact of collections and image on colonial impressions of Ceylon, local, imperial and contemporary- with consideration of continuing ripples forward. The investigation starts with the discovery of an important colonial photography album (Jermyn Album) in the Pitt Rivers' collection and Visiting Fellow, Shalini Amerasinghe Ganendra's, extended research on this collection and other colonial-era photographic images of Ceylon in the Pitt Rivers Museum
