Tigger Blaize

I am from Guernsey, and trained as an actor at Rose Bruford. There's often a physical element to my work, productions using full and half mask, puppetry, acrobatics, physical theatre and movement skills. Theatre credits include - "Summer in London" Stratford East, "The Twits" Belgrade Coventry, "Spot's Birthday Party" Oxford Playhouse, "Rabbit and Hedgehog" York Theatre Royal. Recent television includes BBC "Casualty", Channel 4's "It's a Sin" and "Apple Tree Yard" for the BBC. Other strands include BBC radio drama; voiceovers and audiobooks. As a transgender person, I have a strong sense of identity. I'm an advocate for the visibility of under-represented groups, sit on the LGBT+ Committee for the actors union, Equity, and am a consultant for LGBT+ representation in the Arts. I am a ski instructor; I'm training as an Intimacy Coordinator, and am all about the tea and cakes.

The Stars Are Bright Here is a play by Timothy Allsop based on oral testimony from interviews with LGBTQIA+ people from across the UK. On a site-specific journey through different parts of the museum, you will get to meet modern and historical characters and hear some of their stories and experiences. The historical elements are mostly drawn from work done by Pride in Suffolk’s Past and Broken Futures. The play will take place in both indoor and outdoor settings. From nineteenth century archaeologists to Betty’s nightclub, this play will show you that there has always been a queer presence in the countryside.
