Mortimer History Society Essay Prize

The Mortimer History Society is proud to announce in 2017 the second round of

THE MORTIMER HISTORY SOCIETY ESSAY PRIZE

The Subject:

✓ any aspect of the history of the Mortimers of Wigmore or the medieval Welsh Marches

The Conditions:

✓ the essay must contain original research not previously published elsewhere

The entries:

✓ the prize is open to everyone who can meet the assessment criteria

The Chair of the Judging Panel is:

✓ Professor C J Given-Wilson, St Andrew’s University

The Closing Date:

✓ essays must be submitted by 01 December 2017

The Prize:

✓ the first prize is £750, the runner-up prize £300, and a third-placed prize of £200

Publication:

✓ prizewinning essays will be published in the Society's Journal (ISSN 2397-9267 ) as may other commended entries
