OMS Small Grant Winners

medieval network

OMS small grants are designed to help support postgraduates and early career researchers wanting to collaborate on organising an event or activity related to the study of the Middle Ages: whether a symposium, workshop, conference, seminar series, or any other kind of forum.

We’re delighted to announce the winners of this term’s round, each receiving £250:

David Barritt, Panayiotis Christoforou, Chris de Lisle, ‘Authority outside the the Law: Charismatic Traditional Authority in Ancient and Medieval Monarchies’, workshop, 10 December 2016

Hannah Boston and Richard Purkiss, ‘Lordship in the Landscape, 800-1300’, symposium, 11 February 2017

Philippa Byrne, ‘The Study of the Bible in the Middle Ages: Where are we now?’, colloquium, 18 February 2017

Further details of each will be posted as OMS ‘upcoming events’ in due course.

Feeling inspired? The next round of applications will be in Michaelmas Term 2016 (there are two per year), and full details on how to apply will be available on the Oxford Medieval Studies section of the TORCH website.
