Nicholas Perkins is Associate Professor in English at Oxford University, and Tutor in English at St Hugh’s College, Oxford. He teaches medieval literature, and has published on a wide range of texts from the Middle Ages, as well as on modern responses to the medieval past. In 2021 he published The gift of narrative in medieval England, which gave rise to this project and his Bodleian exhibition ‘Gifts and Books’ (June–October 2023).
