Roe Rajah is in their third year of studying English Literature at St Catherine’s College. They are working towards their dissertation on graphic narratives with a focus on adaptation and the representation of authorial and personal selves. Their interest in intermedial graphic narrative adaptations (Anne Carson’s ‘H of H’, Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery’s ‘Kill Shakespeare’, Martin Rowson’s ‘Tristram Shandy’) and an online course on Marjane Satrapi’s autographic novel ‘Persepolis’ developed into a fascination with the diversity of the comic medium. Their love of visual analysis alongside the literary is also influenced by a long-term passion for all things theatrical - as they have been writing, directing and producing theatre since 2016.
