Sebastian Klinger connects literary studies to the history of science. He is currently working on a monograph entitled Sleep Works: Sleep Experiments in Literature and Science, 1899–1929, which investigates the representation of sleep in natural scientific inquiry and German and French literary discourse. Before joining New College, University of Oxford, as the Matthews Junior Research Fellow, he received his PhD from Princeton University. From October 2022 onwards, Sebastian is based at the University of Vienna.
