Stefan Esders is the Professor in Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages at the Friedrich-Meinecke-Institute of the Free University, Berlin.
In 2019, he was a co-organiser of the 'The 20th Oxford-Princeton-Vienna-Berlin-Mainz Graduate Exchange in Late Antique, Byzantine and Medieval History', which was co-funded by the International Partnership Scheme.
