I am an early career researcher working as a part-time research associate in Community Public Health and Humanities at the History Faculty. As an economic and social historian, I am particularly interested in bridging qualitative and quantitative methodologies to better understand how structural inequalities persist. My primary research interests lie in the economics of gender in twentieth-century South Asia, a focus that has familiarised me with the complexities of interactions between gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. I am excited by the prospect of working as a frontline researcher to explore these dynamics in Oxfordshire – a place that is very different, but very global, and where I've been based for over six years.
