The composers are all participants on the Oxfordshire County Music Service Advanced Musicianship Programme (AMP). They have attended a variety of events across the academic year, including workshops, seminars, lectures, and rehearsals, working on harmony, composition, and performance. A number of these events have been in partnership with St Anne’s College Beyond the Dots recital series. Tonight’s composers attended the University of Oxford Curiosity Carnival, seeking inspiration for their compositions, on Friday 29th September 2017. The night was a huge festival of curiosity – a city-wide programme of activities across the University of Oxford's museums, libraries, gardens and woods. There was a wide range of activities for all ages and interests - not least The Contagion Cabaret! Dr Traill subsequently coached students through the creative process of composing their pieces, providing compositional building blocks.
